marina biology 101

Just a week an a half ago there was a thriving colony of undersea life of remarkable diversity happily growing on the underside of my boat. The other weekend I spent something like 4+ hours hauling it out of the marina and I’m happy to report (well, creatures did die after all) … respectfully happy that after spending a week and a half in our terrestrial world the little guys have mostly lost their death grip on the hull and this weekend maybe I’ll get around to painting it with whats called anti-fouling paint. Basically this paint slowly (over several years) emits just enough toxin so that small sea creatures don’t make their home on it.
